Mabuhay!
I am Pastor Sherwin Tebelin.
In the Filipino ministry, our passion is to love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ together and help others do the same. Our purpose is to reach out to the Filipino people throughout Singapore.
Our worship services and Sunday School classes are in Tagalog on Sunday afternoons. Occasionally, we have visiting missionaries and pastors from Philippines to minister to us.
We invite you to join us this Sunday. It would be our pleasure to greet you and make you feel right at home.
We have different Bible study groups that meet at different homes during the week. These informal settings allow people to come together to study God's Word and its application to our daily lives, as well as provide an opportunity for fellowship with other church members.
Please contact the church office for more information (+6562992337) . Maraming Salamat Po!

LBC Filipino 2nd Anniversary July 2009 by Ethness Gimenez
Our theme was “Ye are the Light of the World…” – Matt. 5-14.
LBC Filipino Ministry celebrated her 2nd year anniversary with God’s blessings every step of the way. There were 80 in attendance, 18 first time visitors and two souls accepted Christ on that day, 26th July 2009.
We started with prayers & more prayers. Other preparations before the day included the sound system, choir practice, selecting dishes for the meal, planning the programme, inviting the speaker, preparing the video, cooking the food and sending out invitations. “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” – Prov. 3:6.
On that day, as we came in, we were given bookmarks and door gifts by three sweet little girls, Euell, Elisha and Naomi. The service started at 3 pm. Praises of songs were offered to God by the congregation, with Bro Nap leading. Pastor Sherwin welcomed the visitors and Pastor Selva made some announcements.
Then it was followed by the wonderful testimony of Bro. Warren, who was nervous at that time. LBC Filipino Choir gave the message of the song entitled “The Light of the world is Jesus”. Even the little ones, the Children Ministry led by Sis Hope, rendered a special song with their big voices: “This little light of mine”. It was complete with props: little lights which they were holding. The congregation adored them, specially Klint when he sang out “No”. Another testimony was delivered by Sis Grace. Indeed her testimony was a blessing. She gracefully mentioned how she was saved by God and how God continuously moulds her with a Christ-like faith.
Our main course, God’s message was given by Pastor Tim Ogatis. “Ye are the Light of the World” challenging our brethren to shed their light & inviting our visitors to accept Christ as their personal Savior for heaven & hell is real. It fuelled the souls of our brethren to continue sharing the gospel although difficult it may seem. How we live our lives is our testimony to the world. A great message! God blessed us with two souls, and the rest were uplifted and motivated. God’s glory shone.
One way of connecting people is through videos and photos. In order for our visitors to get a quick preview of how the LBC Filipino Ministry evolved and how God used individuals to serve Him, Bro. Mike & Bro. Robert combined their effort and talents over sleepless nights to prepare a film. Everyone who attended was in awe of the film that was shown. Praise God for people who are willing to be used & praise God for giving them talents. “Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.” 1 Corinthians 14:12.
Taking a group photo was the best way to end this celebration. Bro Gilbert captured every smile and presence with his professionalism. We are to continue the Good Fight of Faith. “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses” 1 Timothy 6:12.
Bro. Jhay did not withhold his talent in setting out the tables for the food. He led the LBC Filipino ladies to set the tables and the food. He even brought with him some tablecloth to mimic a hotel-like setting. We sang the anniversary song and there was a cake cutting ceremony by Pastor & Mrs Selva, Pastor Sherwin and Deacon Roberto. Sis Mary presented thanksgiving souvenirs to Pastor Sherwin and Pastor Tim on behalf of the church.
We thank God for all those who generously contributed delicious home-cooked Filipino dishes for the reception. In one accord we were able to glorify God. The food was overflowing. God is great! The fellowship during this time was overwhelming. The celebration was indeed a memorable one from the programme, message and food to the wonderful fellowship. All played their part in clearing up after that as well!
These were all made possible by our merciful God and through our loving spiritual family, Pastor Selva, Pastor Sherwin and Sis Mary who were patient enough in guiding us to live like Christ. They are the ones who shared and sacrificed first and we as members follow their example and leadership. Thank you for sharing a listening ear, a pat on the back, your presence in the hospitals & airports and for sharing your lives with us. You showed us that your care is not bound by the four corners of the church. God Bless us all!
